We take fairies very, very seriously in our family.
Yesterday we built part I of a series of several fairy homes we are putting under moss filled spots in trees and well, next to well pumps apparently. Last night I stayed up too late looking at pictures and gathering inspiration and today we are going on a nature walk to collect more materials. I love love loved watching Paige run back with two tiny acorn caps to "use for bowls.." and this morning we went out to see if the fairies had used them. They totally had. I used to make fairy homes when I was little, but they were nothing compared to the ideas Paige has. Hammocks, fire pits, split levels with moss blankets on king sized beds. We have a lot to do!
I've taken to working at Starbucks during my writing time. I'm not sure why but I get more done sitting here with a triple shot Chai tea and a loaf of something sweet than I do at home. Maybe the temptation to go downstairs and head outside to play is just too much, especially when the weather is nice and I heard the kids cheering away. Speaking of - Wyatt spoke! The other day I was asking him a question and he looked up at me and said "more cheese momma" just like that. And I completely freaked out about it literally jumping up and down and he hasn't spoke since. Next time I'm going to play it cool. Sly Wy.
We are lucky the area we live in is full of spring time beauty. Lots of nature centers and farms to visit and of course our own baby goats which are BORN and are going to be ready to come home in a few weeks. Pics to follow. Barn is just about done and I'm so excited. Paige wants to name our barn "Butterfly farm..' We will see about that.
