Since my last post I've been making our house a home as slowly as humanely possible. I keep getting distracted with museum trips, or oatmeal cookies, or finding new books I need to read right now. And of course the munchkins are the (most awesome) distraction of all - we made a Thankful tree with a branch and some leaf and pumpkin cut outs and Paige was thankful for grass, pumpkins and leaves, her dogs and cats, and when Wyatt doesn't pull her hair. Amen sister. At school her thankful tree said she was "thankful for farm animals.." which we have none. But she claims they are for the farm animals we will have - I better deliver chickens and goats. At least she isn't into Barbies.
And now, because I'm obligated, my thankful list
I am thankful for back massages with peppermint oil, crusty loaves of bread warm from the oven with raspberry jam, Wyatt's strawberry hair, Paige's stories always told breathlessly, NATURE and waterfalls and moss and trees and sunshine and rain and mountains and hills and LIFE...I am thankful for the way my dogs smell and for my cats independence. I am thankful for my own Mom & Dad and brother and family even that I love so very much. I am thankful I have a best friend I married and who puts up with my antics always and still givs me sparks everyday. I am thankful for down comforters, cold sheets at the very end of the bed, and yoga pants even though I don't do yoga.
What are you thankful for?
