I am in love with this simple blue house.
We have been busy not unpacking but enjoying the few days of very perfect autumn weather. There's so much to explore! Fields to walk through, barns to peek in, fields to "plow" with friends, toads to catch, acorn caps to basket, yards to lay in and look up and realize you're underneath a macintosh apple tree.
I will have pictures galore once I find my camera cord.
What I love most though is that I can open my door and just shout GO. To the dogs, to the children -- just run and jump and do your thing. Granted we still live off a road that's well-traveled, and there's a train running in the back (not right in the back naturally but man it's loud) but we have this feeling of privacy. Our house is set back back back from the road, the street we live on is quiet 90% of the day, there's acres and acres and acres of land and it's...PRETTY.
In other news while we were going back and forth from one home to another we found time to visit a play-based preschool that's very close to the blue house. It's very small, and very much an eclectic mix of all the things I would want for Paige; they teach through play and folks songs, make art projects, and foster this absoutely awesome love for learning. I said that if I find the "perfect" fit for us, I would send Paige...and this could be it. She's only going two days a week so the other 5 are momma/homeschool days and I'm very excited for her. She walked in and didn't want to leave!
So we are all doing well. Tired, excited, learning about our new home...I'm loving life : )
