We went from pouring gushing rain to SUMMER.
It's always tough for me to fall into our summer rhythm because the days are lo-ooooooong.
Our mornings start earlier and our evenings end later and that's why I haven't blogged. We are busy making ice pops, taking the pups to the dog park, drinking lemonade in the backyard, going to the park two and three times a day, setting up the pool with a bit of water for some pretend play, planting flowers (and chocolate mint! and cinnamon mint!) reading under the ceiling fans, going to get ice cream sundaes, taking walks by the rivers, seeing Memorial Day parades and exploring. Is it exhausting? Yes, but each day I wake up and think this day may just rule.
Question for mommas: In the past years my kids have gotten some presents for their birthdays that we've had to hide in the basement because (Mcdonalds play set anyone?) they aren't age appropriate or aren't something we'd let our babes play with. While I appreciate our families generosity so very much, we don't need more stuff and would appreciate books and maybe one or two things per child, per birthday. Is it just out of line to create little Amazon wishlists for Wyatt and Paige?
Wyatt is def getting these felted balls for his birthday because they are adorable adorable adorable. Call me crazy but for Paige a girly globe seems perfect too eh? I have been itching to get her a globe and it's very hard for me to resist one that has rainbows on it.
